Bio

Steph Douglas, MD, MHS, CSCS

A native of Lexington, KY, Steph earned a medical degree from Yale School of Medicine and completed a year of plastic surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital before transitioning to the non-clinical realm. She worked as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group and as a medical writer before returning to residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation to continue her clinical training. She is in the process of applying to sports medicine fellowship programs.

Prior to attending medical school, Steph was a middle-distance runner for the Vanderbilt University Track & Field team. Drawing on her passion for athletic competition and ongoing performance improvement, she completed her USA Track & Field Level I Coaching Certification and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She enjoys helping athletes of all levels achieve their running and fitness-oriented goals through coaching and personal training. Her experience as a Division I athlete informs her work with coaching clients, and she continues to train and race herself in the hopes that she still has some PRs ahead of her!

She currently lives in St. Louis, MO with Humphrey the Labrador, who is a much faster runner than she is.
